Health and Wellness Marketing

Marketing is one of those ‘things’ most entrepreneurs detest doing, but to have success, health and wellness marketing for your health and wellness business is crucial. There is no way to get around this not so comfortable chore. Simply put, attracting and retaining customers for the viability of your practice is a must. We all need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

My business coach said to me the other day, ‘sit with the uncomfortable. The longer you sit with it, the less power it has over you’. She’s right, so I’m applying this same concept to your health and wellness marketing. Let’s look at this uncomfortable undertaking, so that you can manage it to your advantage, and so you can take your power back.

Let’s acknowledge your success so far.  You’ve gone through years of schooling with many exams and projects, even practical examinations on clients, to get to where you are. You’ve been tested, challenged, and you’ve proven that you can be successful, and are successful. You’ve done presentations, seminars, projects in front of your peers, teachers, professors and even strangers, but asking the public to buy your service, for some reason, becomes extremely daunting.

Marketing should come easy but it doesn’t. Selling our services, along with why someone should choose me, or you to purchase from, leaves us feeling very vulnerable. Honestly, we all hate rejection, but if we see it as the path to success, just maybe we can give it another try.

Jack Canfield, Co-Author of Chicken Soup for the Soul series, was rejected by 144 publishers before someone had the faith in him. 144 times! Read his article on Facebook and the stories of many, who were rejected.

Honestly, I think we hate marketing because of our own insecurities. We are good with social media, because we do so behind a screen, but to knock on doors or some cold calling, not so much. Health and wellness marketing requires you to meet people, at corporations or in the community. There are no screens to hide behind. To work with people, we must get out and be with people, and at minimum be in front of them, even if there are screens (which we have seen for the past few years), to ask them to buy your services.

Overcoming these challenges as it relates to vulnerability involves a combination of self-reflection, support from trusted individuals and a gradual approach to incorporating vulnerability into daily interactions. Recognizing these misconceptions and challenges is the first step towards a more open and authentic way of living.

The solution to many small business marketing problems very often lies in getting help — either from consultants who can guide an owner, or from doing market research that can prevent owners from marketing in a vacuum. (Financial Post)  That’s me! I’m here to help you with the Attracting Corporate Clients online training and coaching program, with health and wellness marketing strategies.

There is nothing wrong with marketing to people or corporations that have a need for your expertise. If you want more business for your practice, more clients and more revenue, you need to market who you are, and what you have to offer. Of course, the disadvantage to marketing could result in rejection, which you could take personally or not,  but the disadvantages to not marketing could lead to stagnation in your business, and potential closure.

Health and Wellness Marketing

Attracting Corporate Clients’ program is an excellent opportunity to learn about corporations and provide more visibility to potential clients you wouldn’t have thought about while you initially planned your health and wellness marketing, when you started your health practice. I have provided a variety of options for your new marketing plan in this program, to ensure your business continues to grow for years to come.

One of my students is at this stage of this program. I can feel her resistance of not wanting to go out, and ‘sell’ who she is, or ‘sell’ her services. It can be a very unsettling task, but we’ve done this before, we can do it again. Our small businesses require health and wellness marketing and it requires you to talk to people, strangers to be exact, to survive and excel in your businesses. If you are looking to expand your business, grow professionally and personally, consider scheduling a chat to find out more.
