Do you have a hobby or a small business?

I have encountered many like-minded people in the past few years that want more
stability and more revenue for their family.
Unfortunately, many are working very hard, but not yielding the financial rewards they want.
So, my question to you is, did you start this as a hobby or a small business?
Did you slide on over from one to the other?
To have longevity and success (however you define success), a structure to your
business is required. This structure requires a foundation first.
I always love that individuals have great ideas to make money, but if you don’t give it attention to these 2 aspects, you have a hobby that is generating some monies.
Nothing wrong with this!
As entrepreneurs we are full of it - of ideas of course! If you have a creative mind, you
can start any business, anywhere at any time. Some of these creative minds though
aren’t always business savvy. They jump in with their two feet, determined to have
success but don’t realize they need a vision and a plan for their company for longevity.
If you want to move your hobby to a small business entity, you might need to take a step
back to implement the foundation and structure because chances are you are building a
house of cards, that will, in all likelihood, collapse without these key components.
According to AI, A building structure is the system of structural elements, like the foundation, walls, columns, beams, and roof, that collectively supports the entire building and safely transmits all loads
(vertical and horizontal) to the ground. Its primary function is to provide the building's stability,
enclose its space, and protect its users from external forces such as wind and seismic activity.

Before you start adding walls, beams and roofs, (employees and clients, with a variety
of services) ensure that you have a foundation for your future growth.
If you can feel and see your vision coming to life, or it’s growing at an exponential speed, take the time to build a strong structure NOW. You can then reap the rewards for years to come.
Is everything you need to continue growing in place? Take a step back, and build your
foundation so you can be confident in your expansion.
